My retail career began when I was 16 and I worked part time at my local Tesco store and then went on to work at Cath Kidston. After completing my A-Levels I decided not to go down the University route and instead I embarked on a Level 4 Retail Management Apprenticeship with John Lewis and Waitrose, which taught me many practical business management skills across a broad range of divisions. I have since worked in retail support agencies and spent the last few years working in marketing and communications. I enjoy the diversity and challenge of the digital marketing world, where no two days are the same and you have to constantly evolve to keep up with changes in consumer demands and technology trends.
As Marketing Manager, my main responsibility is to manage the RMS brand communications. Like most businesses nowadays, most of our marketing and communication is done via digital and social channels. Another important aspect to my role is the internal communications to ensure we have a robust communication stream with our network of merchandisers working across the country.
Outside of work you will find me walking my dog, at the stables with my horse or spending time with family and friends. I’m a country girl at heart so I love being outside as much as possible and I’m also a massive foodie (who isn’t!?) so I love getting the chance to find new great places to eat at the weekends.
