Save the Date and Secure your place: Thursday 20th August 2026 | Celtic Manor – Twenty Ten Course – Book here!
We’re excited to officially launch one of the standout charity events in the 2026 calendar, The Duke of Edinburgh Cup Wales, proudly supported by RMS.
Building on the success of last year’s charity day, this year we’re going even bigger, more inclusive and more impactful. This isn’t just a golf event – it’s a full day experience designed to bring together businesses, communities and young people through challenge, curiosity and opportunity.
Last year’s event exceeded expectations with the quality of the golf and the positive energy around our first ever Beyond the Fairway experience.
For 2026, we’re taking a new step forward.
We’re proud to introduce The Duke of Edinburgh Cup Wales as a brand new addition to this year’s event, elevating the day to a nationally recognised qualifying competition and creating an even stronger connection to the life changing impact of the DofE programme.
At the heart of the day is the opportunity to play on the iconic Twenty Ten Course at Celtic Manor, in a competitive but inclusive format.
Teams of four (two pairs) will compete for the Peter John O’Toole Cup, with amazing on course challenges and prizes and plenty of friendly competition along the way.
New for 2026, the event will also host The Duke of Edinburgh Cup Wales qualifying competition.
The winning pair will earn a place at The Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Finals, a truly once in a lifetime experience. With expenses covered, qualifiers will enjoy:
All this plus breakfast, on course refreshments and a post round BBQ dinner at the Celtic Manor.
It’s a unique blend of competition, prestige and unforgettable experience, all in support of two incredible causes.
One of the biggest evolutions of the event is Beyond the Fairway, designed for non-golfers or those looking for something different from the traditional golf day.
Kick off the day with hands on team STEM challenges led by Techniquest. Expect creative problem solving, innovation and a bit of friendly competition that is all designed to spark curiosity and collaboration.
Try something new with Wales Golf coaches guiding relaxed, beginner friendly golf sessions on the range and putting green. No experience needed, just a willingness to give it a go.
The afternoon will feature a series of informal, inspiring discussions with special guests from business, sport and the charity sector. These sessions will explore themes of curiosity, resilience, leadership and opportunity, with a strong link to youth development and STEM.
This event proudly supports both DofE Wales and Techniquest, helping young people build confidence, develop skills and access opportunities they might not otherwise have.
Young people have been disproportionately affected following the challenges of the pandemic. This is why charities like Techniquest and the DofE are so important and we are thrilled to be supporting them this year – especially on their birthdays!
This year DofE celebrates their 70th birthday and Techniquest celebrates their 40th birthday!
Everything about the day, from the golf to the challenges, is designed to reflect that mission.
Whether you’re picking up a club, trying something new or supporting as a sponsor, The Duke of Edinburgh Cup Wales 2026 including Beyond the Fairway promises to be an unforgettable day and we’d love for you to be a part of it!
