Tell us about your role at RMS

As part of the Installation Department, I oversee the Combined Installation processes for large-scale store remodels and refresh projects. My role is all about bringing complex projects together, managing multiple projects simultaneously, from the initial site surveys and stakeholder meetings to detailed planning and coordinating on-site teams. 

I focus on ensuring every element runs smoothly, balancing timelines, resources and client expectations to deliver high quality results. It’s about turning vision into reality while keeping everything on track.

What do you enjoy most about working for RMS?

I love the variety that comes with my role as no two projects are ever the same. The opportunity to work in different locations and the travel involved keeps things fresh and exciting. Each project brings its own set of challenges, pushing me to think creatively and adapt quickly, which makes the work both dynamic and rewarding. Plus, seeing a project go from concept to completion is always satisfying.

  

How does your role contribute to successful retail transformations?

My role ensures retail transformation projects run seamlessly from start to finish. By managing every stage, from initial planning and stakeholder coordination to guiding on-site teams, I can ensure that each element aligns perfectly. It’s all about creating a hassle-free experience and achieving the best possible outcome for the retailer.

What’s a key challenge you help retailers solve?

One of the biggest challenges retailers face during transformations is minimising disruption to their daily operations. I help solve this by carefully coordinating teams, managing tight schedules and anticipating potential obstacles before they arise. My focus is on keeping projects on track while ensuring the installation process is as smooth and efficient as possible, allowing retailers to continue serving their customers with minimal impact.

What skills are essential for success in your role?

Strong organisation, problem-solving and communication skills are essential in my role. Managing projects requires the ability to prioritise tasks, stay detail-oriented and think strategically. Effective communication is key to keeping stakeholders aligned and on-site teams on track. Adaptability is also important - projects often come with unexpected challenges, so being able to think on my feet and find quick, practical solutions is essential to keeping everything on track.
