Meet the incredible individuals driving RMS's success
Becca Crowhurst, Project Manager

As a Project Manager, I oversee Tesco Express refurbishment programmes from planning through to completion. My role involves coordinating every stage of the project, working closely with our installation teams and the client to ensure each refurbishment is delivered efficiently and to programme.
No two stores are ever quite the same, so it's all about planning ahead and solving problems to make sure everything comes together on site.
I've been with RMS for five years and my journey has taken me from working in the field to managing national retail projects.
I originally joined RMS as a merchandiser, supporting a variety of retail accounts across the UK. Before long, I had the opportunity to work on installation projects, including B&Q and Tesco, and quickly realised that I really enjoyed the practical side of the role.
I've always been interested in DIY and building things, so installation work felt like a natural fit. From assembling bedroom furniture on early projects to delivering full retail installations, I found myself wanting to take on more responsibility and develop my skills.
I then moved into the Head Office team as a Project Support Assistant. From there, I became involved in project management, taking ownership of Tesco Express programmes before progressing into my current role as Project Manager.
Having worked on site myself gives me a real understanding of what our teams need to deliver projects successfully.
I know the challenges they face, the importance of good planning and how small decisions made during the planning stage can make a big difference once work begins. That experience helps me build realistic programmes and support our teams throughout delivery.
One of the biggest skills I've developed is adaptability. Every project brings new challenges, so being able to react quickly to changing circumstances while keeping everything on programme is a key part of my role.
The variety and the people.
No two projects are ever the same and every refurbishment brings different challenges to solve. I also enjoy seeing a project evolve from the planning stages through to a completed store, knowing we've delivered another successful transformation for the client.
I've also really enjoyed the opportunities I've had to develop my career. RMS has given me the chance to progress from merchandising into project management and I've been supported every step of the way.
One of the things I love most about working with RMS is the people and the supportive environment, in both the field and now in the office with the guidance and support I've had with my development.
Tesco Express refurbishments often take place in busy residential areas or on high streets where access and logistics can be challenging.
The programmes also operate to very tight timescales, so detailed planning and communication are essential. My role is to make sure every project is carefully coordinated so our installation teams can deliver efficiently while keeping everything on schedule.
Be open to trying new things and taking opportunities when they come along.
My career has changed significantly since I first joined RMS, and every new role has helped me learn something different. If you're willing to get involved, develop your skills and work hard, there are plenty of opportunities to grow within the business.
