Building on the success of last year’s charity day, this year we’re going even bigger, more inclusive and more impactful. It’s a full day experience designed to bring together businesses, communities and young people through challenge, curiosity and opportunity.

This year marks a significant milestone as we introduce The Duke of Edinburgh Cup Wales Qualifier alongside the traditional Peter John O’Toole Cup, creating an exciting new opportunity for golfers to compete for an unforgettable prize whilst supporting two fantastic causes, DofE Wales and Techniquest.

⛳ The Golf: Compete for Two Prestigious Titles

At the heart of the day is the opportunity to play on the iconic Twenty Ten Course at Celtic Manor, in a competitive but inclusive format.

The Peter John O’Toole Cup

Teams of four (two pairs) will compete for the prestigious Peter John O’Toole Cup, with amazing on course challenges, prizes and plenty of friendly competition throughout the day.

The Duke of Edinburgh Cup Wales Qualifier

New for 2026, the event will also host The Duke of Edinburgh Cup Wales Qualifier.

Every team entered into the event will comprise two pairs, with each pair automatically entered into the qualifying competition.

This means golfers will be competing for two prizes on the same day.

This exciting addition elevates the day from a traditional charity golf event to a nationally recognised qualifying competition.

Kick off the day with hands on team STEM challenges led by Techniquest. Expect creative problem solving, innovation and a bit of friendly competition that is all designed to spark curiosity and collaboration.

🏌️ Give Golf a Go with Wales Golf

Try something new with Wales Golf coaches guiding relaxed, beginner friendly golf sessions on the range and putting green. No experience needed, just a willingness to give it a go.

🔥 Fireside Conversations

The afternoon will feature a series of informal, thought provoking discussions exploring one of the biggest influences on our future – Artificial Intelligence.

Bringing together voices from business, technology, education and the charity sector, these sessions will examine how AI is reshaping the way we work, communicate and interact, the changing skills and capabilities organisations will need and the opportunities and challenges this presents for future generations.

With a particular focus on STEM, innovation and employability, the conversations will explore how businesses, educators and young people can embrace technological change, develop future ready skills and prepare for an increasingly AI-enabled world.

Driving Real Impact

This event proudly supports both DofE Wales and Techniquest, helping young people build confidence, develop skills and access opportunities they might not otherwise have.

Young people have been disproportionately affected following the challenges of the pandemic. This is why charities like Techniquest and the DofE are so important and we are thrilled to be supporting them this year – especially on their birthdays!

This year DofE celebrates their 70th birthday and Techniquest celebrates their 40th birthday!
