The role at a glance
- Title: Project Manager
- Location: Cardiff / Hybrid / Remote (UK travel required)
- Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible to meet project needs)
- Salary: £30,000–£40,000 per annum DOE

What you’ll do
You’ll lead delivery of retail installation and transformation projects for one of our key retail partners, turning concepts into safe, high-quality onsite outcomes by:
- Developing robust phasing plans that consider layouts and environmental constraints.
- Producing RAMS that identify and mitigate people, environmental and mechanical risks.
- Running store scoping meetings, planning site phases and owning on-site delivery.
- Reporting accurately and on time to the Account Manager and stakeholders across multiple concurrent projects.
- Partnering with Logistics to forecast and balance sector resource – supporting recruitment, onboarding and training where needed.
- Supporting the Account Manager to coordinate internal teams and external suppliers to time, cost and quality.
- Driving continuous improvement in safety, programme control and client satisfaction.
How you’ll work
- You’ll travel to sites across the UK & Ireland with occasional nights away.
- Working hours can flex around site access and client needs (evening/night work on some programmes).
- You’ll model safe working and compliance in line with RMS policies.
What you’ll bring (essential)
- Proven experience managing field-based project teams in a live retail or multi-site environment.
- Solid project management capability (formal PM training/qualification or equivalent experience).
- Excellent stakeholder skills – able to build trust and influence at all levels.
- Strong written planning: phasing plans, RAMS, status reports and site packs.
- Clear, confident communication (meetings, email, reports) and calm decision-making under pressure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
- Strong H&S mindset with experience in strict safety-critical environments.
- A full, valid UK driving licence and the ability to work away from home when required.
What will help (desirable)
- Retail fit-out / store transformation experience.
- APM/PRINCE2 (or similar) qualification.
- Knowledge/certification relating to retail equipment and fixtures.
- Prior experience working with RMS retail partners, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, B&Q etc.
- Management & Leadership qualifications.
