Eliot Morris, Project Manager

Tell us about your role at RMS: 

As a Project Manager at RMS, I oversee and coordinate all aspects of retail transformation and installation projects from start to finish. My responsibilities include managing timelines, budgets and resources, while also liaising with clients, vendors and internal teams to ensure projects are executed smoothly. I am the primary point of contact for stakeholders and work to ensure that every phase of the project aligns with the client's objectives and expectations.

What is it that you enjoy most about working for RMS?

What I enjoy most about working at RMS is the opportunity to lead diverse and dynamic projects that make a real difference to our clients. Retail transformations are always unique, and I thrive on the challenges of bringing innovative concepts to life. The collaborative environment at RMS is also a big highlight, as it allows me to work with talented professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional results.

How does your role contribute to successful retail transformations?

My role is critical in ensuring that retail transformations are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards. I manage project timelines, ensure all stakeholders are aligned and address any obstacles that arise during the process. By keeping a close eye on the details and maintaining clear communication, I help ensure that the transformation not only meets but exceeds the client’s vision and expectations.

What's a key challenge you help retailers solve?

One of the key challenges I help retailers solve is minimising disruption during store transformations. Retail spaces need to remain operational as much as possible, so managing timelines and resources effectively is crucial. I work closely with the client and contractors to schedule work in a way that ensures minimal impact on the store’s daily operations, helping to keep the customer experience intact while still completing the project on time.

What skills are essential for success in your role?

Key skills essential for success in my role include excellent project management, communication and problem-solving abilities. Being detail-oriented and organised is critical, as is the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously. A strong understanding of retail operations and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances is also vital. Additionally, having the ability to build strong relationships with clients and teams helps ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
