His Everlasting Legacy
At RMS, we were very sad to hear that Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, passed away peacefully on April 9th, 2021.
The impact the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award has had on thousands of young people will be his everlasting legacy. The DofE, founded by Prince Philip in 1956, is a Youth Awards programme which recognise adolescents and young adults for completing a series of self-improvement exercises.
Proud Supporters of a Worthy Cause
RMS is a Bronze supporter of DofE Wales, a position we have held for several years. Every charity event we hold, including our Annual Golf Day, raises money for DofE Wales. It is a charity we fully support because it does so much good for young people. It helps to prepare them with valuable skills for adulthood, which is especially important during these difficult and uncertain times.
We support the DofE Wales wherever and whenever we can. We recently participated in their employability week which helped to get young people into work. Also, several members of the RMS team will soon be taking to the skies to take part in a skydive; again, DofE Wales will be one of our chosen charities.
It is an honour to be able to raise money for such a worthy cause. The development of our future generations is incredibly important and should not be undervalued. We look forward to continuing supporting DofE Wales for many years to come.
